Contrary to what the title portends, the story of Alundra 2 has no connection with that part of the original. Indeed, there is so little common ground between the two components might be wondering why the developers chose the name ...
The graphics of the game is what has certainly struck or shocked the whole world first, this is the worst piece of Alundra 2. Polygons with lines of uneven textures blur together, a clipping this too often even if it is good enough to play on Playstation, all added to a poor finishing and many display bugs of the main characters. This is offered Alundra 2 as a new look, a new puzzle in the universe ...
However, the scenery and landscapes are done slightly better, luckily NPCs (Non Player player) do not work enough to pass through the sets and find more flaws in them. The complete realization of 3D designs could be refined though. Apart from the cut-scenes made of polygons, there is no real improvement in this field.
Just then the sound of the game's first impression is no doubt that music is faithful to the kind of Alundra. Each piece sticks well to every situation, and the entire soundtrack is really good. The problem is that there is not much different tracks ... After the fourth or fifth dungeon, the music goes unnoticed altogether, or worse, it becomes tediously repetitive.
The battle system is similar to most action / rpg. Flint travels a part of the world, the enemies rush at regular intervals, and always behave so as to give the player time to anticipate their attacks. Similarly, as in all action / rpg, it is no different at the screen appearance of a struggle, nor an option to slow the speed of the latter. The only apparent difference is the strange period after Flint had struck an enemy ... The enemy will fall to earth after a stroke, or end of a combo. When it will rise again, for about one second or more, Flint can not retyping it again. And since there is no indicator informing the end of the invulnerability of the enemy, it may take a great shot if the player attacked again Tusculum too early.
At that point, the game may seem mediocre, but he still assets, and even very good strengths, honestly. The main asset of the game is its plot. Our hero, Flint, who will work against a corrupt kingdom to save his head a price. Unlike most games of its kind, the story is not predictable from the introduction. There will even be times when a plot twist in the Flint force to work with former enemies in order to achieve its objectives. These twists of this scenario makes the game really interesting.
Another major advantage of Alundra 2 that will interest the player, are all the mini games available in the game the simple game of darts to win upgrades super rare magic, glimpses of the roads in a frantic pace, while fighting enemies and crossing barriers ... These races are really difficult, but the player will not necessarily be penalized if he makes mistakes, given that there are save points throughout the other each term, to withdraw in case of error, making the race difficult but not impossible.
What was most memorable in Alundra, was the next puzzle game, with all the puzzles test reflexes qu'Alundra was resolved. Flint also much similar puzzles to solve. Most of them are not as tough as in the first round, but your reflexes will still and always tested.
In addition to planning strategy in the game, adding the need to get used to the angle of the camera in a world in three dimensions, all tasks animals can become long combinations with precise timing required for each movement to perform.
Alundra 2 goes back memories to all who have played the first part, but the transition from 2D to 3D, and most of the changes have lost the magic that emanated from Alundra. Although the puzzles are similar, the mixture of all new elements together allows a new gaming experience certainly, but an experience of poor quality.
