In line with action-rpg ordinary Alundra nevertheless stands by her world and her extraordinary story ...
In fact, you incarnate Alundra, a young hero who learns he has the rare gift of returning to the dreams of people! After the shipwreck near the village of Inoa, Alundra is collected by Jesse, the blacksmith of Inoa who himself lost his son will bind to paternal affection for the young heroes ... Alundra will try to help the locals, who were apparently victims of a terrible curse.
Alundra quickly learn that it is intended to save the world from the clutches of Melzer, an extremely powerful adversary in pursuit of world domination, and who is responsible for the nightmares of people. The scenario becomes progressively dark, even "twisted" by advancing in the game and will refer to various religious and philosophical themes.
As in the classic RPG, the gameplay Alundra again and again compared to the mythical aspects of Legend of Zelda, is based on missions and quests begged the characters you meet in the villages during your adventure, if characters that is endearing leaves quickly embark on the scenario.
Besides the use of magic and weapons various and varied, Alundra has the power to walk in the dreams of people and influence their outcome. By dint of many battles against hideous monsters to reach your way in this troubled world, the hero's quest will appear as a terrible puzzle to solve, it is long, littered with puzzles that will give you a hard time as in a good Zelda of course ... Beware the enemy will appear damn boring to reappear each time in a room, although very useful later especially to boost your characters ...
The world map of Alundra's not so great, but you can walk inside as you want, and with good freedom of movement. For cons, the grip will seem quite delicate especially when starting out, it will correctly position your character, which conducts the planned moves, go one step left, not right, etc..
RPG fans have reason to be filled with this little gem though achieving any 2D does not exploit the capabilities of the PlayStation, it is not to regret, because 2D is a choice that is not unpleasant, it is an excuse to hide boxes that are immediately visible in 3D, and graphics, although outdated, are far from being repulsive ...
We are far from the Final Fantasy series on character development, however, about the gameplay, the game proved very demanding and some adventures you could grind your teeth for hours. The playing time is about 20 ~ 25h.
If you want to buy this game today, we must admit that it is extremely rare to get hold of it, but you could get it on a lot of shopping online, or by auction on the net like eBay. Indeed, despite the success of Alundra among gamers and a good review of the game, despite its innovative gameplay though difficult, the game slightly promoted by low advertising has not benefited from a supermarket.
Alundra has still managed to talk him and get a place among the greats like;)
