Eiichiro Oda has been a pirate or a viking in another life. Because to tell too many adventures such as those we are told in One Piece, you really have lived a lot ...
And yet, while Oda's manga base, from a price to another, abandoning his studies and becoming an assistant to several mangaka (including the author of Kenshin) while making some news here and there. Not really a profile of a nomad traveling around the world to feed his writings, you will agree. But after reading One Piece, there is no doubt Oda made long trips imaginary. Then he tells how the famous shonen? And although it tells the story of Luffy, a young man with powers who wish to become elastic and the pirate lord. To do so, he must find the One Piece, the legendary treasure that belonged to Gold Roger, the previous lord of pirates. A daunting task given the number of teams with the same aim in this imaginary world, governed by the sea and oceans. Therefore Luffy goes off in search of a crew that can assist him in his epic. And yes, the structures of One Piece does not differ greatly from other shonen existing retaining the basis of dreamy young man struggling with his friends against the evil people. Especially since Luffy is, at first, a relatively common heroes too ... Naive and strong at once, he made many think of the beginnings of Goku from Dragon Ball, an amazing little resemblance when you know how Oda is a fan of the work of Toriyama worship.
